Catechesis at St. Jude and Our Lady of Lourdes Parishes

Lifelong Catechesis

Our catechetical programs at Saint Jude and Our Lady of Lourdes strive to provide an atmosphere where all members, individuals as well as entire families can experience God's Word and love so that through age appropriate instruction, faith becomes living, conscious and active in their daily lives.

Little Lambs runs between October and April. Little Lambs is an extension of our Family Formation program and is an opportunity for your pre-schoolers (ages 3-4) to attend "Sunday School" the second Sunday of the month from 10:00 - 11:20 am.

These sessions consist of a Bible story, an activity such as a craft or game and small snack. Your child will also be given fun and engaging resources to work on at home, so that together you may discover the riches of your faith.

CCD is our formal catechetical program for children in Kindergarten to 8th grade. Sessions begin in September and they continue until April. At St. Jude and Our Lady of Lourdes, we offer a program based on guidance and direction for the fundamental task of catechesis:

Promoting the Knowledge of the Faith

                             Liturgical Education

                                Moral Formation

                           Prayerful Experiences

                             A Missionary Spirit.

Through these tasks, we attempt to help every child build an intimate relationship with Christ. Sessions begin in September and go thru April on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month from 10:00 - 11:20 am.

Family Formation Sessions are held the second Sunday of each month from 10:00 to 11:15 am

St. Catherine of Siena urged, "Be who you were created to be and you will set the whole world on fire."

Through social, spiritual, educational, and service experiences, ABLAZE aims at kindling the spark that will enable you to flourish as the human being you were created to be, living life to the fullest.

High school aged teens meet weekly on Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 11:20 am to have fun and grow together, as well as challenge and support one another, while entering more deeply into a relationship with our Lord.
